I'm studying Naturopathy but with an open mind as to my final specialism. I'm also a qualified reflexologist and massage therapist although this is not my regular job. I'm quite interested in Bach flower remedies too as I find they have a very positive affect on my emotional health.
About Me:
I'm a manager in a small residential home in hastings for adults with learning difficulties and autism. At the moment I'm using complementary health care therapists to help minimise a range of behavioural problems and in the control of epilepsy with my clients. I'm being met by no small opposition by client parents and GP's, not to mention the rolling eyes of the proprietor, but I'm documenting everything to provide evidence (or not) of the success we may have in enhancing and improving the lives of my clients.
In addition I am a keen animal welfare campaigner and am involved in various organisations that take up a lot of my remaining time. I fundraise, organise rescues and rehabilitation of abused animals and travel abroad to help out with various projects. This year I'll be in Morrocco to neuter and spay local cats to minimise their breeding as so many starve after the tourist season...
I live with my partner of 8 years and am quite sporty; running, pilates and I'm a student of Krav Maga, an Israeli combat system of self defence. I find it hard to relax generally but I did find our recent Qigong exercises in TCM class quite inspiring and might look to learn a bit more. I love punk music and last week went to the big punk festival in Amsterdam with a big group of friends - Fantastic!!! Oh and did I mention the variety of vegan cakes...?
